Demodek In Dogs
Demodekosis is a skin disease caused by a type of mite infestations external parasites ( can not be seen without the tools ) that lives in the skin follicles , the skin tissue will be damaged and become secondarily infected ( decay ) due to pathogenic microorganisms . These diseases are zoonotic ( transmissible to humans ) with marked symptoms of itching - itching and inflammation of the skin .Causes Disease :
Caused by a type of parasitic infestations outside mites ( demodec sp . ) That live and breed on the dog's skin follicle tissue
Contracted from dogs with demodekosis
Contracted from the environment surrounding the cage and dirty
Clinical symptoms of disease :
Dogs itching - itching , mengaruk - scratching and rubbing - rubbing his body into the cage
Fur loss in the injured area
The presence of inflammation and sores in the area of color spots - red spots , if the injury is severe bleed and ooze pus
Conditions skinny dog , drastic weight loss due to blood sucked by parasite

Disease Diagnosis :

Disease Prevention :
Bathe your dog regularly with anti-parasitic shampoo
Cleaning the cage and the environment - should be maintained

Disease treatment and care :

Provision of anti-inflammatory drugs / anti- inflammatory
Provision of anti- parasitic drugs ( ivermectin ) orally or injection
Give oral antibiotics / topical / injection to facilitate wound healing (to dry )
